Graduation Guidelines - Thursday, May 04, 2006 at 08:19
To make graduation a dignified event and to assure the senior class the respect they deserve, the following guidelines have been established:

1. Every person attending, regardless of age (including infants), will be required to have a ticket. Twenty (20) tickets will be issued to every graduate; you will receive an extra 5 if you purchased a yearbook. Please return any tickets you don’t need to Ms. Sutton.
2. Graduation announcements will not be honored as an admission ticket to the graduation exercises.
Attendance by young children is discouraged. There will be no provisions for a nursery.
3.Everyone attending graduation must be seated by 4:55 p.m. No one will be admitted into the arena after 5:00 p.m. Please inform your guests of these rules.
4.Participation in the graduation exercise and Awards Day is a privilege. Seniors are to dress appropriately. Dark socks, dark pants, dresses that blend well with your graduation gown and dark dress shoes will enhance your attire. Males must wear a tie and NO SHORTS or ATHLETIC SHOES will be allowed. Girls must wear dresses and comfortable dress shoes. NO JEANS or KHAKI fabrics will be allowed. NO GUM ALLOWED.
5. Inform your guests to dress appropriately. The occasion is a dignified one and should be treated as such.
6. Respect for seniors should be shown as they receive their diplomas. Clapping, shouting, loud, boisterous talking, etc., will not be tolerated. Security will be in the stands to see that this guideline is followed. Guests who violate this will be escorted out by security.
7. Anyone who has been drinking alcoholic beverages will not be allowed inside the arena. Security and law enforcement personnel will be on duty.
8. Food and drinks will not be permitted inside the building.
9. Seniors in jeopardy of not passing a course required for graduation will be notified prior to the administration of final exams. A final list of graduating seniors will be posted by 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
10. Graduation practice will be at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 8 at Minges Coliseum.
11. All seniors, marshals, and JROTC members must be present for practice if he/she plans to participate in graduation exercises. THIS IS A CLOSED PRACTICE – OPEN TO PARTICIPANTS ONLY. Any violation of PCS Code of Conduct will result in not being allowed to participate in graduation.
12.Awards Day will be Friday, June 2. Seniors with caps, gowns, and appropriate attire(same as graduation) should report to the Cafeteria at 8:30 a.m. At that time final instructions will be given concerning practice and graduation at Minges Coliseum.


GRADUATION SHOULD BE MEMORABLE AND PLEASANT.
LET’S MAKE 2006 ONE THAT THE SENIORS WILL ALWAYS
