Students Meet the Charger Challenge
Ayden-Grifton held its 2nd six week Charger Challenge event on Tuesday, November 22nd. 109 students were nominated by their teachers for being most improved academically, the most respectful and the highest average overall.  Students were given a breakfast for their accomplishment.  All of the student’s names are submitted for a drawing.  The three gift card winners were: Alexis Figueroa, Garrett Woods and Jessica McLawhorn.

Bright Ideas Grant Awarded

The Pitt and Greene Electric Membership Corporation recently awarded Ayden-Grifton High School a $500 Bright Ideas Grant. The grant will be used to purchase e-books for the media center and classrooms.

Chargers Meet the Challenge
On Tuesday, October 11th, (107) Ayden-Grifton High School students were selected as Charger Challenge students.  The Charger Challenge program recognizes students for their achievement during the six weeks marking period. Every six weeks students will be nominated by their teachers.  Each teacher is asked to select a total of three students from their combined classes for recognition.  Teachers have selected students based on their outstanding academic performance, most improved academic effort and a student that has displayed “good citizenship” /respectfulness.  The selected students are included in a drawing for a fifty dollar gift card from Bojangles.  The 3 winners of the gift cards were Chris Braxton, Terry Strickland and Fred Long.
