The Young Women's Outreach Center will be sponsoring and hosting their 19th Annual Teen Fest, details are as follows:
19th Annual Teen Fest

The month of “May” has been proclaimed as “Teen Pregnancy Prevention Month”. This event is designated for the middle and high school youths (ages 10- 19). Educational and Prevention Sessions regarding self-esteem, communication skills, decision-making skills and other wonderful presentations will be provided for the participants. Teen Pregnancy, Substance abuse, Bullying, Teen Violence, Gang Related Activities & Crime, STDs/HIV/AIDS, School Dropouts, Date Rape, plus a workshop to enhance Self-Esteem ands Assertiveness are a few of the Prevention Workshops that will be addressed at the event. The Teen Forum will enable the attendees to express their views on a variety of subjects and topics in order to get acquainted with the other youth from various locations as it relates to them. Lunch, door prizes, and goody bags will be provided for the youth. In addition, a youth forum and social with entertainment will top off the day’s activities. All attendees are requested to dress in casual attire, i.e., jeans, shorts and T-shirts with comfortable shoes.
Enclosed are the following: Flyer, Letter, Workshop List, and Attendee Registration Form and
T-shirt Order Forms. The deadline for the completed Attendee Registration Form needs to be received in our office no later than Thursday, April 26, 2012. The Registration Fee is $10.00 per person (this includes Chaperones and Adults).
If you are placing orders for T-shirts, the T- shirt Order Form need to be faxed or mailed by Monday, April 16, 2012. We ask that you please comply with these deadlines so we can ensure ample food and accommodation for all participants and T-shirts are available. Since there is a limited amount of space, pre-registration with payment is required to guarantee availability.
Please mail your check or money order payable to: YWOC-TEEN FEST, PO Box 5023, Kinston, NC 28503. If you wish to deliver the form in person, you may do so at 119 East Blount Street in Kinston, NC. You may also E-mail us at the following address to: ywoc@suddenlinkmail.com.
